The flag of Nigeria was designed in 1959 and first officially hoisted on October 1, 1960. The green bands represent the forests and abundant natural wealth of Nigeria while the white band stands for peace. Our international flags are accurately reproduced to exact specifications. The flag has 2 brass grommets on the left edge for hanging. The 4″x6″ size is mounted to a staff with a spear top. Also available below is a Waterproof Vinyl Decal (suitable for outdoor use). Polyester flags are imported and not recommended for prolonged outdoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend our nylon flags. Also available below is an indoor/ceremonial version of the flag with a pole sleeve and gold fringe.
