The national flag of Barbados was officially adopted on November 30, 1966. It consists of a tricolor of two bands of blue separated by a golden middle band. A black trident head is centered within the golden band. The trident head – also known as the ‘broken trident’ – symbolizes Barbados’ independence from the United Kingdom and each point represents a point of democracy. The blue bands symbolize the ocean and the sky, and the golden band symbolizes the sand of Barbados.
Indoor Barbados flags with a pole sleeve and gold fringe are also available, along with Vinyl Decals (suitable for outdoor use) and Embroidered Patches. Polyester flags are imported and not recommended for prolonged outdoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend our nylon flags.
NOTE: Indoor flags are made-to-order, so please allow 2-3 days before your order will ship if you order an indoor flag.
